Ways To Wear Handmade Leather Women's Sandals

If you're in the market for a new pair of sandals and want something that will last for a long time, you can't beat a pair of handmade leather shoes. While you may pay a bit more for the handcrafted sandals than you would for a mass-produced, faux leather pair, you may save money in the long run. The high-quality pair will likely last you longer than the cheaper alternative and look more stylish as well. 

Handmade leather women's sandals come in a variety of styles, and may feature a casual, comfortable flat or low heel, or a slightly elevated wedge or kitten heel for dressier occasions. No matter what style of sandal you choose, you'll be able to wear them with a mix of spring and summer outfits. 

Here are some leather sandal styling ideas to consider:

Flat- or Low-Heeled Leather Sandals

If your handcrafted leather shoes are brown and feature boho details, such as embroidery and beads or gladiator-style straps, complement them with a free-spirited outfit look that will be as comfortable as it is stylish. If you want a slightly dressy look, choose a breezy cotton dress with either colorful embroidery details, slightly belled sleeves or a fringed bottom.

If skirts are more your thing, slip into a maxi skirt featuring a summery shade of turquoise, yellow or coral, and pair it with a white tank top. It's important to balance the full skirt with a fitted shirt for a streamlined appearance. Complete the look with a long, beaded necklace and matching bracelets.

Wedge- or Kitten-Heeled Leather Sandals

Although handmade leather sandals are known more for their casual appeal, you can certainly dress them up as well. If you prefer a more sophisticated style, choose a pair of black, silver or gold sandals, which you can easily glam up. 

As one idea, pair a pair of wedge sandals with a fitted pencil skirt and a button-down shirt for a modern look. Look for sandals that have small buckle details on the straps as a modern touch. You can also wear a pair of leather sandals featuring dainty straps and a kitten heel with dress pants or even a knee-length dress for the perfect warm-weather professional look.
